Alan Price lives and works in Snowdonia, North Wales. He has been a successful, full time wildlife and nature photographer for the past ten years. Previous to his career as a photographer, Alan worked as a freelance graphic designer receiving commissions from various international companies.
During his years as a designer, photography played a key role in his work and the graphic power of nature and wildlife had made an indelible impression on him since childhood. It has, however, been the skill of keeping things simple and clear, learned throughout his graphic design days, that have informed the style of his photography today. This has no doubt lead to his work being largely recognised among many national magazines as well as wildlife trusts.
This year Alan’s photography has been particularly well received in national and international major photography competitions. He has been highly commended in the British Wildlife Photography Awards, 2010 in addition to gaining 2nd place in the Spring category for the Kew Gardens International Garden Photographer of the Year.
