In 2008, Treacy took to opportunity to show a solo project entitled Them at the Photographer's Gallery in London,

'Them are the relics of the moment when I was extremely close to others, by proxy, through their clothing. They become artifacts, souvenirs of the adventure of seeking out and of collecting the clothing. What remains key to Them is that it is primarily about the actions of others, while during a process that has the characteristics of playfulness and theatricality, yet is also sinister and furtive, the focus then shifts to my actions. Donning my new ‘skin’, the process culminates in the act of standing in front of the camera for the final photograph.'

Treacy’s work has also been recognized by a number of awards. In 1998, these included including, The Tom Buckeridge Photography Prize in 1998 and the The Nagoya University of Arts Award in Japan.
Some years later in 2002, he won The Photographer's Gallery Graduate Award and in 2003, The Inaugural Jerwood/Portfolio Photography Award.

His work can also be seen in several private collections in Portugal, Begium, The Netherlands, and London including the British Council Collection.
